Hi, Steve! You do not have to use WiFi for the LG - 7.3 Cu. Ft. Smart Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry, Model #DLE6100W. It is just an option to control the dryer on your phone through the ThinQ application. If your not connected to WiFi it should be just fine. ~Rita
