You don't need HDMI 2.1 cables with the LG 70 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV w/AI ThinQ® (69.5'' Diag), Model # 70UM7370PUA. It doesn't feature any HDMI 2.1 ports. HDMI 2.1 is a 48G cable which is about defining a new specification of an HDMI cable's speed, with so-called 48G cables offering 48Gbps bandwidth for sending uncompressed 8K video, with HDR, over a HDMI 2.1 cable. When you switch to the Optical Digital Audio Out, are your experiencing any audio dropouts or does this only happen with devices connected with the HDMI cables you have connected to them. Try using Ultra High Speed cables to see if that doesn't resolve the audio dropout issues. If that persists, please contact our Support Center at (800) 243-0000 for troubleshooting assistance...^IFV
