The LG UK6190PUB 4K HDR Smart LED UHD TV - 70" Class (69.5" Diag), Model # 70UK6190PUB has an Optical Digital Audio Output on it that can be connected to external receivers, Home Theater Systems or Soundbars that have an Optical Digital Audio Output on them. If the input signal into the TV is a Dolby Digital signal it will send a Dolby Digital signal out through the HDMI ARC port or through the Optical Digital Audio Output on the TV. To use the HDMI ARC functionality, the device that you have connected to the TV's HDMI ARC must also support HDMI ARC functionality. Dolby Digital Plus or Atmos signals will be output as Dolby Digital signals through the Optical Digital Audio port as will HE-AAC signals. DTS signals will be output as DTS or PCM signals. Dolby Digital is often referred to as a 5.1 channel surround system. However, keep in mind that that term "Dolby Digital" refers to the digital encoding of the audio signal, not how many channels it has. In other words, Dolby Digital can be Monophonic, 2-channel, 4-channel or 5.1 channel audio. 7.1-channel Dolby Digital Plus is a high definition digital-based surround sound format that supports up to 8-channels of surround decoding, but also contains a standard Dolby Digital 5.1 bitstream that is compatible with standard Dolby Digital-equipped receivers. DTS Digital Surround is a 5.1 channel encoding and decoding system that, on the listening end, requires a compatible home theater receiver with 5 channels of amplification and 5 speakers (left, right, center, surround left, surround right) and a subwoofer (.1), similar to the requirements needed for Dolby Digital...^IFV
