• Most of the time, yes. If there will be some large metal box like a refrigerator or stove between the router and your TV, or a running microwave oven you might have a problem, otherwise, go for it.

• You should be able to connect the the to Wi-Fi with the router being in a different room. You'll want to be mindful of appliances that may cause interference. In general, the TV should be no more than 30 feet away from your Internet modem. ^Daphane
