I also am considering this TV. Same as you I called LG and Best Buy and cannot get an answer. So which is it? Rebranded 80, 85, 90? Also why is it $1000 off now, or is the $2499 an inflated price? I don't like the shenanigans with getting info on this TV. Then I look at the reviews and people seem to like it. Confused as to what to do.

I am trying to decide if this "Precision Dimming" is worth $100 Dollars more than the local Dimming.
