OLED can turn off pixels completely, giving perfect blacks and endless contrast, which is excellent for watching movies in dark rooms. Newer OLEDs are brighter, but QNED TVs usually have higher peak brightness. OLED is best for dark rooms, movies, and gaming because of its fast response times and low input lag. QNED (Quantum Nano Emitting Diode): A high-end LCD that mixes Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology with a Mini LED backlight. QNED uses many small LEDs for better control, but it still needs a backlight, so blacks aren’t as deep as OLED, which can cause some “blooming” effects. You will probably find that on our OLED TVs that have a glass substrate for the screen. Our LED LCD and QNED TVs usually have a Styrofoam blanket over the TV to protect the screen. Models that have a protective removable plastic screen will have a lable in the top right corner saying "Peel here"...^Ivan.

    • Answer This tv is edge lit. In dark scenes the uniformity issues are incredibly bad. Plus edge lit screens have reliability issues. Search the web. There are so many issues this tv is not worth the extra money. I have a cheaper 7700 series with direct lighting I prefer.
