“I have this tv mounted on it's stand. It does not seem very stable. Is this normal? I am fairly sure I mounted it properly. Is there something else I can do to make it more stable?”

I have mine mounted on stand too. Should be fine as long as stand is centered.

My TV is on its stand on the mantle. I put mounting bolts in the back and anchored it to the wall with an old camera strap. Of course, rope, cable or chain will also work.
