Honestly, I don't know. We purchased a Sonos surround sound system to match what we felt was the quality of the new tv we purchased. We had older sound systems but felt that based on the age, the technology wouldn't match up really well.

Yes, it is possible to connect an ancient Sony sound system (DAV-DZ555K/DZ556KB) to the LG OLED77C3PUA TV. Here are the steps to follow: 1. Check the available connections on both the sound system and the TV. The Sony DAV-DZ555K/DZ556KB system has HDMI (for DVD only) and SCART connections. 2. Connect the HDMI cable from the HDMI (for DVD only) output on the Sony sound system to the HDMI ARC input on the LG TV. This will allow the sound to be sent from the TV to the sound system. 3. If the HDMI ARC connection is not available or not working, you can try using the optical audio output on the LG TV and the corresponding input on the Sony sound system. This will require an optical audio cable.. 4. Once the connections are made, you may need to adjust the audio settings on the LG TV to output the sound to the connected sound system. This can usually be done in the TV's settings menu under the audio or sound options.
