It said to do that if you ever need to move the TV but I have no room in my house for that so I got rid of it. If I ever move I’ll probably pay a professional packer. If you are planning a move then hang on to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn’t. Not sure why it’s necessary. If you’re concerned, keep the packaging for a “burn-in” period, i.e. 30 days. That’s a most likely timeframe in which the TV might fail. I bought mine at the store, with an extended warranty, and if there’s an issue the Geek Squad would probably pick it up to repair. It’s way too big to try and re-package and ship on your own.
