There are wire management channels built into the rear housing to avoid such issues
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You could go that route. It shouldn't cause any spacing issues. Though I would Highly recommend a setup like in the included pictures. As for the power plug. Have an Electrician come out and install a new junction box. With either a dedicated line or line extension off another box. Just to be safe. Hope this helps you decision.
