non-HD inputs are going to be lower quality than HD. I recommend dropping COX tv and cut the cord and go with an HD quality streaming service like AT&T Tv now, YouTUbe TV, HULU, etc.. You will be able to get much better picture quality with a ROKU, Apple TV, firestick, or some apps directly on the tv.
