IT cannot play Blu-ray discs. 4K Blu-ray UHD, Blu-ray DVD, and DVD technologies are backward compatible, meaning they will play the technologies that preceded them; they are NOT forward compatible, so a DVD drive cannot play Blu-ray discs, which is a technology that succeeded DVD technology...^Ivan.

The drive supports TV Connectivity which is a function that that allows you to enjoy videos, pictures and music by connecting this product to a compatible A/V device (e.g. DIGITAL TV, DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME, PC) that supports USB connectivity. The drive is defaulted to ODD mode when it is powered on. To use TV Connectivity, without the disc, press and hold the ‘Eject’ button for 2 seconds. (The LED indicator will turn on, switching to TV mode. You can press and hold the button again for 2 seconds to return to ODD mode.)...^Ivan.
