The owner's manual for the 8x External USB 2.0 Double-Layer DVD±RW/±R/-RAM/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # GP65NB60 only list the drive as being compatible with the Mac OS X(10.7.5) or Higher, and Direct X 9.0 or Higher Operating Systems, but this drive is a 2014 product that was released well before Catalina was released and the last update for it was in 2018 before the release of Catalina. The drive does not come with a software installation disc for Mac. Mac OS will typically detect the drive & use the correct drivers for it. However, we do not have information about if the Mojave OS will be compatible. Apple will usually have a list of which drives. There are a few reviews online that list it as a good low-priced option for Mac in 2020 if you want to continue importing your movies and music to iTunes, or just access the content on your discs...^IFV
