Will this read and write blu-ray? null

Blu-ray UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD technologies are backward-compatible, not forward-compatible, meaning each technology can play the technologies that preceded them, not those that succeeded them, so as a DVD drive, the LG 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black Model # SP80NB80 cannot read or write Blu-ray discs...^Ivan.
