I am using to download music CD's by coping the CD into my music folder and then converting the download to a MP3 format to then download onto a flash drive. I have not tried a DVD at all. The coping procedure doesn't take that long at all. It is not like you have to listen to the whole CD.

Yes. The RW means rewritable. So yes, you can burn discs...if that was your question.

Yes it does copy the information as long as you use a CD-RW.
