• The DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132H is not designed to work with a PC/Laptop. The USB port on the unit will not recognize a computer when one is connected to it....^IFV

• Do you have it plugged into a USB slot, that is on the motherboard ( the back of your computer)? The USB on the front of most PC cases are unreliable, so plug it into the back, and Windows will install the drivers, that are appropriate. Check that your motherboard drivers are up to date also.
