It attaches to your laptop via USB and it is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP Operating Systems. When connected to your laptop, it appears as a another drive on your laptop and when you insert software in the drive, you can select that software to download and install it on your laptop...^IFV
