Will this drive work with linux? null

Yes it does, to play movies you may have to download a codec from the terminal for the media player you are using. I found the code to use on the Terminal somewhere on the Ubuntu forums.

The LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive, Model # SP80NB80 is listed as being compatible with the Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Mac OS X Operating Systems. Even though Linux is not listed, there are others who have used it with Linux. ^Daphane
