Will it play Blu-Ray movies? null

This drive will not play Blu-Ray movies. it only works with DVDs and CDs.

I’ve never tried it. This used mainly as a utility for me and not to play movies.

CD, DVD, and Blu-ray DVD technologies are backward compatible which means that each technology can play all the other technologies that preceded it. The LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # SP80NB80 can play CDs but cannot play Blu-ray DVDs. ^CP
