YES, THAT'S CORRECT, WITHOUT A DOUBT. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO EACH STEP CORRECTLY: DOWNLOAD YOUR MOVIE OR VIDEO FROM YOUR CAMERA TO YOUR PC AND THEN USE THE CORRECT SOFTWARE TO BURN IT TO A DVD USING YOUR LG READER AND BURNER

The LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # SP80NB80, connects to computers via its USB port, and you would need to use burning software to convert your files into a playable format (DVD-Video), open your software, add the files, configure the menu/settings, insert a blank disc, and click "burn". Common camera video formats are: MP4 (.mp4), which is the most popular format, used by DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, phones, and for online sharing. Typically uses H.264 or H.265 (HEVC) codecs, MOV (.mov): QuickTime format used frequently by Apple devices and high-end cameras, AVCHD (.m2ts): Used by many digital camcorders for high-definition video, providing high quality at lower compression, MXF (.mxf): Used by professional video cameras for high-definition data, XF-AVC: A format designed by Canon for high-resolution 4K footage. MP4 is supported by almost all computers, browsers, and devices...^Ivan.
