Here are some simple steps to troubleshoot if the green light on your LG SP80NB80 slim portable DVD writer is not turning on: 1. Check the power source: Make sure the USB cable is securely connected to both the DVD writer and the computer. Also, ensure that the power source you're using is working properly. 2. Try a different USB port: Connect the DVD writer to a different USB port on your computer to rule out any issues with a specific port. 3. Check Device Manager (Windows): Open Device Manager on your computer to see if the DVD writer is recognized. If there's an error or it's not listed, there may be a driver problem. 4. Test on a different computer: If possible, connect the DVD writer to a different computer to see if it's recognized. This can help determine if the issue is with the computer or the DVD writer. 5. Update drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers for the SP80NB80 model. Visit the LG website for the most up-to-date drivers. If problem persist, please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris
