I don't have any special knowledge on 48C4PUA, but what I generally know is that every TV must have its own built-in speakers for giving the sound. But if you want good sound quality, then you should buy a sound bar or any other external speaker system.

The LG OLED 48C4PUA TV does have built-in speakers that provide sound on their own. However, depending on your preferences and the environment, many users opt to enhance their audio experience with a sound bar for richer sound, especially with features like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which are available on the LG S95TR Sound Bar. This sound bar is compatible with the TV and can significantly improve the audio experience, offering 9.1.5 channels of immersive sound, a wireless active subwoofer, and Dolby Atmos®. To summarize, while you don’t need a sound bar to hear audio from the TV, adding one like the S95TR would provide superior sound quality, especially for movies, games, and music. If you prefer to use the TV's internal speakers, they will still work fine, but for a premium audio experience, we recommend pairing it with a sound bar. https://www.lg.com/us/sound-bars/lg-s95tr-sound-bar#pdp_specs If you have any other questions or need assistance setting up your sound system, feel free to reach out via @LGUSSupport on social media. —Renzo
