You will need an HDMI cable to connect the player to the TV. ^Daphane

However it's simply a question of if it's on your TV or not. Two possible scenario's then arise. First, if you have those kinds of inputs, your fine, this DVD player includes the appropriate matching cables for that input type, basic & subpar quality, but also sufficient. If your TV doesn't have that input type then we move on to the second scenario, which is simply grab and use an HDMI cable. Seeing as this is only doing 1080p upscaling and not anything remotely to do with 4K video a basic and inexpensive HDMI cable will be plenty. Also if you prefer getting the most quality out of your DVD collection I'd recommend using an HDMI cable for the upscaling benefit, though it's not required.
