“I have power to the unit and fresh batteries in the remote. I can put in a dvd but noting happens. remote will only power on and off and open and close the door. None of the other buttons work and the dvd does not play. Help!”

I don't know if this applies to you, but in order to play a DVD on my television which has Spectrum cable, I first need to change the Video Source setting using my Spectrum cable remote control.
