“whats the difference between this version and the unlocked version that also works on Verizon”

VZ model comes preloaded with VZ and misc apps in addition to the LG apps. Also unlocked version will not be able to utilize visual voicemail or hotspot or wifi calling

The Verizon variant is designed to work with Verizon Wireless services. The unlocked variant will work with many different carriers. It will also come with added features such as Context Awareness.
