The LG 29" Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer, Model # WDP5V or any other LG Laundry Pedestal are not designed to decrease vibrations or noise, but they can exacerbate the issue if they are not installed properly or if you raise the leveling legs on them unnecessarily. The leveling legs on the washer that you install the pedestal under and those on the pedestal have to be lowered to prevent excessive noise and vibrations. Leveling feet that can move or slide on the floor can contribute to excess vibration and noise due to poor contact with the floor. Your washer should also be installed on a solid floor that is strong and rigid enough to support the weight of the washer, even when fully loaded, without flexing or bouncing. If the floor has too much flex, you may need to reinforce it to make it more rigid. If the floor is not solid, it may cause severe vibration and noise...^IFV
