• The inverter controller uses a variable duty cycle controller circuit to turn the magnetron on and off very quickly. Consider that the output power - the cooking power - steps up in percentages according to the programmed power level number. The input power will do so correspondingly, but will be higher, because the efficiency isn't 100%.
