Why does the timer continue run with the door open? null

The timer (when used as a timer) DOES continue to count down even with the door open.

The Timer function serves as an extra kitchen timer. It chimes when the set time runs out. It does not start or stop cooking. It will continue to run regardless of the door being open or shut. ^CP
