Im not sure if the sidekick works with your model of washer, but no, you do not have to buy the dryer pedestal. The dryer pedestal is a separate purchase. If you dont have a pedestal under your dryer but you do under your washer, your dryer will just be quite a bit shorter so if that doesnt bother you then your ok without it.
