Just wipe the rubber seal in the front with diluted bleach every week and that should help with the moldy smells. There is also a special washer cleaner you can use monthly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had a problem with smell in the washer. I was always in the habit of leaving my washer lid open on my old washer so that it would dry, and I still do it on my new one. There is also a tub cleaning product that you may use to keep your washer clean and fresh. You can buy it at the grocery store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not recommended to leave the door open after using this LG SteamWasher 3.6 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer. It is necessary to periodically clean the washing machine to help maintain its performance and to minimize the chance of malfunction and use only HE (High-Efficiency) detergent for this front-loading washing machine. Improper installation or use of the washing machine in a humid space for a long period of time potentially could lead to a buildup of detergent residue in the washing machine that may produce mildew or musty smells. If you clean the washer tub regularly on a monthly basis using TUB CLEAN it will minimize the possibility that detergent residue will build up and mildew or musty smells may occur.
