Have you tried using another HDMI cable? Possibly the power cord could be damaged also?

My first problem was the HDMI cables in my wall running up to my TV could not pass the 4K video signal. I replaced all my old cables with brand new 4K capable cables. A few days later the player started acting funny, after following some troubleshooting steps it just got worse. Never really coming on always showing red light. I took it back and Best Buy cheerfully replaced it , not problems. I looked at buying a different player but the UBK90 has the best feature set and the best ratings. I stayed with it and everything works great now
