Yes, DV happens automatically in the player. You do need a DV capable TV of course, and a suitable HDMI cable to handle the high data rate of the DV content. Your home theater receiver must accommodate the DV pass through, unless you connect the player directly to the TV.

When this unit is connected to a TV that supports Dolby Vision, the resolution can only be set to [Auto] or [2160p].
