If you record a disc using a personal computer, even if it is recorded in a compatible format, there are cases in which it may not play because of the settings of the application software used to create the disc. ^Daphane

QuestionHow to reset the dvd player to play video? Purchased it 14 mo, ago it had a glitch & would play audio but no video. LG service had me press a few buttons & it resolved the issue. Yesterday I factory reset it because wifi not work. Now again NO video!

- Answer I doubt it. The only output available other than HDMI is the USB. So unless your surround sound works with USB it won't work. I have my surround sound directly connected to the TV using its optical cable.

- Answer The only way that you would be able to use it without changing the input would be if the TV identifies the connected device and automatically changes inputs. ^Daphane

- Answer No, the Blu-ray Disc player does not support HD DVD format. HD DVD is not a playable disc type (DVD-ROM DVD-R DVD-RW DVD+R DVD+RW). ^Daphane

QuestionI recently purchased an LG NanoCell TV from you and found that LG does not offer HBO GO or the HBO Max app. Not a happy camper, had I known that I'd have bought a Samsung. Do you know why that is and if LG plans to offer it anytime soon? Thanks

- Answer I have Amazon Prime and was offered other services through that app in their program offerings, e.g. Hbo, Starz, etc. Try that maybe.

- Answer No this only plays region 1 DVDs, all so far. It's also very picky on what blu-ray discs it wants to read. I haven't really figured out why it won't read certain ones. It'll read some, not all, of what I've burned myself and it'll read some, again not all, new ones from the same region. Pain in the butt really

- Answer There are 6 different preloaded apps on this player. Unfortunately you cannot download any other apps onto the player. Twitch is NOT one of the preloaded apps.
