Can this range be installed in an island? null

Yes, but the vent in the back sticks up and only part of it is painted black. There is some unfinished steel that shows.

The manual does not explicit say that it can or cannot be installed in an island. It specifically states to avoid placing cabinets above the range. To minimize the hazard caused by reaching over the open flames of operating burners, install a ventilation hood over the range that projects forward at least five inches beyond the front of the cabinets. ^Daphane
