“I am confused about where the serial number is located can someone please help?”

I'm in the same spot as you, looking for the serial number on my set as well. I've tried looking through the mobile apps LG provides for the headset, but they do not offer the ability to review the serial number. It appears the serial number only exists on the product box.

The serial number is probably on the case. Please contact LG Customer Support by private message via Facebook @LGUSSupport and use #VOC in your first message to our social media support team. Be sure to provide your contact information, IMEI number or model/serial numbers and date of purchase. Our Mobile Communications Support will be better able to assist you.
