• The ear plugs have a magnet but don't automatically retract

• No they do not retract automatically. The cord slides on the necklace part of the headset. One benefit to it though is that the ear buds have a magnet on it so that it clicks back into place to the headset easily.

• No they're not. They're magnetized and will hold in place once manually retracted - hope that helps
