• My Tromm WM2277HW is now 13 yrs old and there's never been any smell. Reason: Leave the door open for a few hours after washing so that the rubber seal and other parts dry. The mold smell is always the result of closing the door when the seal and inside is wet.

• I keep my detergent and softener tray open in between loads to dry out. Also take a Clorox wipe or similar product and just wipe out the plastic seal area as that is often where extra water sits over time and can smell.
