“Does this monitor use a software screen splitter? I want to this to be a second monitor to my laptop and then drag and drop four apps to four quadrants. My 34" LG wide has a special utility that does this.”

You can set it up as 4 separate inputs (various computers) and see them at the same time (hardware) or use the LG app (software) to split one input into multiple screen layouts.

It does come with a cd for the manual. I'm not sure if it has software on it. It definitely can be used as a second monitor. I have not used the four quadrants feature in that aspect.

Yes, the monitor offers Multi-Tasking with Picture by Picture and Picture in Picture. ^^Daphane
