“I am trying to change my refresh rate to 144hz but when i got to change is in my graphic settings it will only allow up to 60h hz. When i changes the resolution to 1080p it went from 75hs. I am connecting with a laptop to it with HDMI it should at 100hz”

You're more than likely using a port that's part of your cpu's graphics. It should work if you plug it into a usb-c port with an adapter. Which laptop are you using?
