Dolby Vision is HDR, it’s just HDR with more “metadata”. Dolby Vision is HDR with a higher contrast ratio giving you a wider set of colors than normal HDR.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's my understanding that you can't select between Dolby Vision & HDR10 on this player. There are some very expensive players that do that such as the OPPO, but I think you'll always be relegated to Dolby Vision by default if available, otherwise it'll use HDR10 if not - It's not something we can switch ourselves.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question, 12th doctor. Dolby Vision in essence is a higher level of HDR. So essentially when Dolby Vision is on it has HDR already. Turning on HDR would be a downgrade to the Dolby Vision experience. So this is actually operating as it should.
