The Lifeproof warranty is supplied by Lifeproof, not Best Buy. In the event of the case breaking or becoming faulty, you just need to contact Lifeproof. If you go to their website, you will be able to print out a template. Fill out the information and take the requested picture of the product. They are very quick to send you replacement parts or entire cases. So yes, you can buy it online and still have the warranty.
