Please try again later.Looking at my case right now, I don't see what you're describing, but in my experiences, as soon as parts of the outer layering of the case start "peeling," it's time to get a new case if you care about making sure it's still waterproof. Luckily, Lifeproof has a great warranty department and will replace your case for "free", you just have to pay $5-$6 for postage. Just get on Lifeproof's website and call their warranty claims department. I have had much better luck doing that, rather than using their online warranty claim form.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no not really. They are just there to protect the charging ports and other ports/speakers from getting stuff in them like dirt, dust, water, etc. My son pulled his off and I took mine off as well. Hope this helps
