Can I use it for diving ? Or snorkeling? null

We purchased for use while snorkeling. The photo button does not respond under water. To video, you have to start video above water and then submerge the case to film. To stop video you have to bring case back above water.

Although it is waterproof it is only rated for a couple feet for a short period of time

Yes. As long as you don't go deeper than 6.6' under water.
