Lifeproof cases are waterproof up to about 6-7 feet of depth. The price differences have to do with current models versus older models. Just look for the one that fits your phone type.

The difference being that the 89.99 case, referred to as the Nuud case. The Nuud case is free of a film screen protector and instead has the iPhones naked screen exposed. Also the back of the Nuud is a clear hard plastic compared to the Fre's solid backing.

No difference. Will protect from water up to certain depth and for about an hour. Must perform a water test prior to using on phone for the 1st time to ensure seals are good.
