Can earphones/buds be used while the iphone is in the LifeProof case? I could not use earphone/buds with my previous iphone lifeproof case. The earphone jack is not long enough to make a complete connection because of the thickness of the case. In order to use earphones I've had to remove the phone from the case. Has this been fixed or is there a particular brand or adapter that can make the connection without to having remove the case? I have a new Iphone 6S that needs a case.

The Apple headphones work well and some others that have a small connector . The case comes with an adapter screws into the case to maintain the waterproof integrity. It will allow any size compatible headphone to connect.

all life proof cases come with a little adapter! You unscrew the part of the case that covers the headphone hole and you screw in one part of the little adapter cord and put your headphones cord into the other side!

I can only speak to the iPhone 6 Lifeproof Frē case, because it's what I have, but I'm guessing it is also standard with their other cases and models. Back when I had a Lifeproof on my iPhone 4S, I had the same problem as you did. Fortunately enough, with their new cases, I haven't found this to be a problem. As I type this, my earpods are plugged into my iPhone 6 through the aux access port in the case. I have also had other auxiliary cables, however, that have been too big to fit through the port. Out of the box, though, the case comes with an adapter that screws in through the port and allows you to plug in any aux device, while still keeping the phone waterproof. That adapter should be fine to use with virtually any aux speakers or headphones.

I bought a life proof case as well. Mine came with a adapter that will reach the plug socket with the case on. It is about four inches long with the plug on one end and the socket for your headphones on the other end. If yours did not come with one, I would contact life proof for one as they are the only ones that will reach without modding the case. Hope this helps you, have a good day!

I've seen adapters around for this problem, I switched to wireless to upgrade and avoid this being an issue.
