• It has a clear back cover that completely covers the back but does not have any coverage for the screen.

• No..... The new phone cases for the Galaxy s9 are coming with no screen protection unless you use a wallet style or the LifeProof Free case. I am very pleased with the OtterBox Defender because it has raised edges to protect the screen from a fall but I guess anything can happen.
