It comes all the way around Wrapping around the front edges. It does have holes on the edge for microphone, speaker, charging port, and mute button. Nice case.

Looks like it would do an adequate job of keeping debris from getting between the phone and the case. The speaker and charge port do not have a cover though. I think life proof makes the exact same case with the charge port cover under a different name.
