Hello RichardNL, thank you for your question. You can connect the Lifestyle 650 to a Lifestyle 50 where the LS650 is treated as an expansion room, however you would be limited to the analog output of the LS50. The LS650 does not have any audio output connections so you would not be able to set it up as the primary system. Best bet is to use them as separate systems in different rooms to take full advantage of the LS650's digital and networked capabilities. Have a great day! Best Regards, Greg - Bose Support
