This will work with a 4G LTE hotspot since that device is creating an internet connected WiFi network. When the hotspot is turned off the light will continue to stay on but will no longer be able to be controlled from the app or other smart devices. You will have to manually turn off the light and it will maintain the last settings it had (brightness/color) when it was last connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just connected mine to my fiance's hotspot (which has the same name as my own wifi) and that was enough of a workaround to make them work. I can control them from my phone and everything! Hope it helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this will not work with a 45 LTE hotspot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work just fine with a hotspot. They'll stay on as long as the switch is on
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The bulbs need a WiFi soure to be automated but if they lose signal they can still function as regular lights by using the lights with the normal lightswitch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All smart devices use WiFi to connect out to the internet. they use this internet connection to talk to a server that gives them their special functions defined by the manufacturer. Many have implied but never flat out said this, but without internet on your wifi network, these devices will not pair and without both the app and the device being able to reach the internet server, one won't be able to control the other. Smart technology is only smart because it is told to go to a computer on the internet and that computer gives it its smarts. hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To have full control you need to keep your wifi on at all times otherwise you cant access the lights.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The light will turn on and off manually. You have to download the app in order to control the different effects. You need to link your light and apps through a wifi connection. All of my lights are controlled through my iPhone and computer. The computer app is in the beta phase, but it works well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must use this product with wifi
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hear different answers about this, but my experience as an Android user points to "no".
