• You just need to download the lifx app, connect to the light, then have google home sync with lifx. Easy Peasy

• All I have is a google home mini, both the google home and assistant apps, and a WiFi smart bulb with matching app. Set up was a little confusing, but works fine as long as WiFi is available. Just make sure you choose bulbs that don’t require a “hub” (unless you’re willing to spend the extra money). All on, off, and dimming functions available. Also, if google assistant is on your phone, you can control from anywhere.

• The bulb is all you need but they are kind of a pain to set up and the two I bought died in 4 months. Would recommend a different option.
